Resumen / Descripción: This video will address the iconographic representation of the battle of Lepanto in Italy, focusing on the Genoese examples. This battle was a victory of the Holy League against the Ottoman empire. It was heavily celebrated and its impact in the arts can show us different dynamics of memory and identity construction, as well as the role of the arts in the creation of an image of the enemy as the ?other?. Este video se centrará en las representaciones iconográficas de la batalla de Lepanto en Italia, centrándose en los ejemplos genoveses. Esta batalla supuso una victoria para la Liga Santa, contra el Imperio Otomano. Fue ampliamente celebrada y su impacto en las artes nos muestra distintas dinámicas relativas a la construcción de la memoria y la construcción de identidades, así como el papel de las artes en la creación de una imagen del enemigo como el ?otro?.
