Resumen / Descripción: This video will present the case of the Beatitudes Casket, from the treasure of San Isidoro de León (Spain), today preserved at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional in Madrid. It is a casket with three sides presenting twelfth century ivories depicting the Beatitudes, and a third sides were different pieces from Islamic caskets. In this video we will see how and when this casket was made, how was used and why it was made this way. Este video presentará el caso de la arqueta de las bienaventuranzas, proveniente del tesoro de San Isidoro de León (España), hoy preservado en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional de Madrid. Es una arqueta compuesta por marfiles del siglo XII presentando las bienaventuranzas en tres de sus lados, y un cuarto lado hecho de piezas diversas de arquetas islámicas. En este video veremos cómo y cuándo se hizo esa arqueta, cómo fue utilizada y por qué se hizo de esta manera.
